After entering into the modeling world, Aishwarya Rai's entered Femina Miss India contest in 1994. She got the position of first runner up in this contest. Aishwarya Rai's first film was "Iruvar" in Tamil received some critics but her "Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya" of Rahul Rawail's got her the title of best female Debutante Award.
