Sarah-Jane Hutt, presenting United Kingdom was born in 1964, Poole, England. She was the forth Miss World from her country United Kingdom. Rocío Isabel Luna from Colombia was the first runner-up and Cátia Pedrosa was the second runner-up from Brazil.

Among the contestant, some of them complained about her victory as they said that she was not so beautiful and one contestant also refused to attend the coronation hall. Some were also challenging the decision of the judges and this way her success reasoned a stir.
