The Miss World Puerto Rico 2012 is Janelle Chaparro (right) who is shown with her predecessor Amanda Vilanova. Chaparro was Vilanova’s 1st runner-up. Since local organizers lacked time to produce a national pageant due to Miss World 2012 being moved to August, they handpicked Chaparro as Puerto Rico’s 2012 representative.
Janelee Chaparro (20 year old, 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in), from Barceloneta), who competed as Miss Barceloneta in Miss World Puerto Rico 2011, will represent the caribbean island during the Miss World 2012 competition to be held in Ordos, China, in August.
