Well, Here's a little figure that'll make your eyes water. It has been reported that our favourite, eccentrically dressed singer lady Lady Gaga earns a whopping 30 million dollars...through her twitter account.
That's right, the Marry The Night singer rakes in the staggering amount of cash from her twitter account. The amount is measured by correlating Gaga's amount of followers and the amount of publicity and Direct access that Twitter gives the performer. it's all very scientific.
You might be spitting out your takeaway pizza on this Friday night just at the thought of such a figure, but you might be surprised to know that that amount only accounts for a third of Lady Gaga's total wealth, which totals at a whopping 90 million dollars (56.8 million pounds)!
Marketing expert John Bonini has given an insight as to why he believes Gaga's twitter account has proved to be so lucrative, saying,
"(Gaga) really engages (her followers) And retweets stuff they say as if she was one of them." its this close connection that gaga has with her loyal fans that leads experts to believe that they'll stay loyal, and continue to buy into the Gaga franchise.
Gaga recently broke the record for having the most followers on Twitter, as she now has 20.7 million. Justin Bieber is close behind with 18 million followers. We think the most shocking part of all these statistics (other than us doing so much mathematics), is that Gaga is only fourth in the list of top pop earners in the last year. We recently reported that Taylor Swift was the top pop earner.
